'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he once was, and would definitely contemplate extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could start in the upcoming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring record continues to amaze
